Superb bungalow in the grounds for a person who loves “Mary Berry” style food, would like delightful employers and loads of down time as they are away most of the week and away for many months of the year. Start NOW!!!!

Your hours will be 9am to 1pm then back around 5pm when they are there until after dinner but remember, this is only when they are in residence and for at least 4/5 months of the year, they are not. Tuesday and Wednesday off.

You must love your cooking, they do entertain so you will drive to Market Harborough and provision, therefore driving is a must, (they provide the car), and set about preparing simple but delicious food.

What about the housekeeping you may ask? Well there is a lady who “does” once a week and honestly, it really is not a problem, when guests stay the laundry is sent out, but they have a roller iron!

If you have a partner who would like part time work in the grounds etc. well, superb, even one cat or dog, (well behaved of course) is fine.

You will have a 5 day, 45 hour week with weekends off when the family are not in residence, so many weekends free for you in the year. The cottage is one bedroom and, sorry, no pets allowed.

They have 4 dogs and teenagers (all well behaved!) They are well known and respected figures in the art/fashion world, needing to employ those who are experienced and discreet for this large country estate.

The lady will be cook and housekeeper, loads of time to manage the house during the many absences of the family but full on when they are there. The mother is really hands on so no worries there and help from the London home is called on when a full house.

Cooking is not complicated, but you must be confident and serving, wardrobe care and loving care of fine china and art are all in your hand book of talents.

The chap will know his gardening and handyman skills and use a chainsaw, so certificate essential. Primarily an “outside” role with care of the 4 dogs who live there. There are other ground staff, but you and your wife/partner will be the management couple.

For professionals who love the country, drive, like a mostly informal role and love dogs, this will be a workout at times but very rewarding and the local pub is great fun!

This role would suit a candidate with a strong security background and some managerial experience. The main duties will be to cover for the much loved Gurkha chauffeur on his days off, driving the family to London and local appointments and being responsible for Estate security and the training of other staff members accordingly.

Working Days/Hours: 5 days a week with two days off mid-week.

Accommodation: Lovely private 2-bedroom cottage on the estate. Wife/Partner welcome.

These two roles are for the multiple properties owned by this prominent family. The house manager must have worked in a 5 star hotel, must be female to abide by correct protocol and will manage staff including nannies, butlers and waiting staff.

The estate Manager will handle budgets, supervise maintenance, deal with leases and tenants and be a leader to run many staff. A degree or certificate in property management, facilities management is preferred. Also 5 star hotel experience valued.

Both roles will have a separate apartment. I believe that you could, if you have all the right experience, ask for a little more re the salary, (living in hope!) but you must have all the requirements before we can ask.

Obviously, there is more to say, but firstly only those who have the experience noted above, who will work a 6 day week with 30 days holiday and one return trip home and who are female, need apply. See below.
